Experimental Model for Retrospective Assessment of X-Ray Exposures in Dento-Maxillary Radiology Measured by Electron Paramagnetic Resonance in Tooth Enamel [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Medical Informatics, 2009
Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) dosimetry of human tooth enamel has been widely used in measuring radiation doses in various scenarios. For experimental purposes in X-ray diagnostic or therapy human persons can not be involved.

Remote Modulation of Single‐Atom Catalyst Boosts High‐Valent Cobalt–Oxo Species Generation for Water Purification and Detoxification

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops a phosphorus‐doped cobalt single‐atom catalyst that enhances high‐valent cobalt–oxo species generation for water purification. This atomic‐level tuning boosts the catalyst's activity by 3.5 times, enabling efficient pollutant degradation. A continuous‐flow reactor achieves high, long‐term removal efficiency, producing water with low

Visible Light‐Activated ZnO@CuO Coaxial Nanofibers Enhance Infected Skin Wound Healing Through Construction of p‐n Heterojunctions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coaxial ZnO@CuO nanofibers activated by visible light generate ROS through enhanced photocatalytic reactions driven by improved electron hole separation in the heterojunction. This strategy enables rapid antimicrobial activity and early infection control, thereby promoting the healing of MRSA infected and diabetic wounds with biosafe and easily ...

Fourier Transform EPR (Electron Paramagnetic Resonance) of chemical reactions

open access: yes, 1990
Transient free radicals formed by laser photolysis have been measured in solution by Fourier Transform Electron Paramagnetic Resonance. The high resolution spectra positively identify the initial free radicals formed from the quenching of triplet duroquinone by triethylamine in solution. The spectra were used to follow the kinetics of the free radicals

Exclusive Se‐O Coordination and Fe‐doping Complementation: A Catalytic Strategy for Enhanced Sulfur Redox in Li‐S Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Exclusive Se‐O coordination and Fe‐doping complementation significantly improve conductivity and modulate the d‐band centers, which strongly anchor polysulfides in bidirectional catalysis and reduce the energy barriers for the Li2S nucleation and dissociation, achieving high‐apacity retention, exceptional rate capability, and stable cycling capability.

Study of the Physical Characteristics of Carbonate Samples from Archaeological Artifacts for EPR Dating

open access: yesПоволжская археология
Investigation of the physical characteristics of mineral artifacts was undertaken with purpose of development of dating by the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) method in a new direction, by means of analysis of spectra of the carbonate probes from ...

Nanoconfinement‐Steered Molecular Preorganization Enables Efficient Monoethanolamine Degradation through Electronically Modulated High‐Valent Iron–Oxo Pathways

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Precise modulation of reaction pathways remains an unresolved challenge in peroxymonosulfate‐activated advanced oxidation processes. The spatial preorganization strategy in engineered confinement architecture enables regioselective bond cleavage in monoethanolamine via synergistic proton–electron transfer, redirecting its degradation from nonselective ...
