Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

A study on the energetic electron precipitation observed by CSES
High energy particles are the main target of satellite space exploration; particle storm events are closely related to solar activity, cosmic ray distribution, and magnetic storms.

Dependence of Energetic Electron Precipitation on the Geomagnetic Index Kp and Electron Energy [PDF]
It has long been known that the magnetospheric particles can precipitate into the atmosphere of the Earth. In this paper we examine such precipitation of energetic electrons using the data obtained from low-altitude polar orbiting satellite ...

This study investigates the tribological response of 60NiTi alloy under dry, water‐lubricated and high‐temperature conditions. The alloy exhibits decreasing wear volume and friction with increasing temperature due to the formation of protective oxide layers. The work clarifies dominant wear mechanisms and demonstrates the suitability of 60NiTi for high‐

Conjugate high-intensity energetic electron precipitation at high latitude [PDF]
On 6 August 1998 an intense precipitation event occurring at high latitude in the evening sector was observed by X-ray and far-ultraviolet imagers on board the Polar satellite and by several ground-based instruments.

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Inertia of Ionospheric Conductance During Electron Precipitation Events
Using the SuperThermal Electron Transport (STET) model coupled with the Super‐thermal Proton Electron Atomic Hydrogen—tRansport in the Ionosphere and Thermosphere (SPEAH‐RIT) codes, we demonstrate that temporal variability of ionospheric conductance is ...

Nanoindentation Criteria for Combinatorial Thin Film Libraries
Thin‐film material libraries are compositional spreads used for screening composition‐structure‐property relationships. Nanoindentation is often used to characterize mechanical behavior across these systems, however variations in methodology are widespread.

Nanocrystalline semiconductors: synthesis, properties, and perspectives [PDF]
The preparation of hollow particles of ZnO by calcination of hydrozincite coated poly(styrene) beads is reported. Synthetic studies have been performed on such polymer/inorganic composite precursors in order to establish the optimum conditions for the ...
