Electron Transport in Granular Metals [PDF]
We consider thermodynamic and transport properties of a long granular array with strongly connected grains (inter-grain conductance g>>1.) We find that the system exhibits activated behavior of conductance and thermodynamic density of states ~exp(-T*/T) where the gap, T*, is parametrically larger than the energy at which conventional perturbation

Simulation of electron transport during electron-beam-induced deposition of nanostructures
We present a numerical investigation of energy and charge distributions during electron-beam-induced growth of tungsten nanostructures on SiO2 substrates by using a Monte Carlo simulation of the electron transport. This study gives a quantitative insight

The role of electron-electron scattering in spin transport [PDF]
We investigate spin transport in quasi two dimensional electron gas formed by III-V semiconductor heterojunctions using the Monte Carlo method. The results obtained with and without electron-electron scattering are compared and appreciable difference between the two is found.

Electron-hole dichotomy and enhancement of thermoelectric power factor by electron-hole-asymmetric relaxation time: a model study on a two-valley system with strong intervalley scattering [PDF]
The role of electron-phonon scattering in thermoelectric transport has been paid much attention, especially in multivalley systems. By investigating a two-valley model with electron-phonon coupling, we find three electron transport regimes realized by electron-hole asymmetry of electron relaxation time due to the strong intervalley scattering.

Role of wave-particle resonance in turbulent transport in toroidal plasmas [PDF]
Wave-particle interaction in toroidal plasmas is an essential transport mechanism in drift wave instability-driven microturbulence. In tokamkas, different wave-particle resonance conditions have been found important for the energy and particle transport of multiple species in various drift wave turbulences.

Large modulation of thermal transport in 2D semimetal triphosphides by doping-induced electron-phonon coupling [PDF]
Recent studies demonstrate that novel 2D triphosphides semiconductors possess high carrier mobility and promising thermoelectric performance, while the carrier transport behaviors in 2D semimetal triphosphides have never been elucidated before. Herein, using the first-principles calculations and Boltzmann transport theory, we reveal that the electron ...

Electron transport through nano-MOSFET in presence of electron-electron interaction
We investigate the effect of electron-electron interaction on voltage distribution, charge distribution and current-voltage curve of two dimensional nano-MOSFETs with dimension equal to 1 × 1 nm2, 3 × 3 nm2, and 6 × 6 nm2 by using non-equilibrium Green ...
