Scaling Analysis of Surfactant Templated Polyacrylamide Gel Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Colloid and Interface Science 258, 186-197, 2003., 2001
Surfaces of surfactant-templated polyacrylamide hydrogels were imaged by atomic force microscopy (AFM), and the surface morphology was studied by numerical scaling analysis. The templated gels were formed by polymerizing acrylamide plus a cross-linker in the presence of surfactants, which were then removed by soaking in distilled water.

The 68,000-Dalton Neurofilament-Associated Polypeptide is a Component of Nonneuronal Cells and of Skeletal Myofibrils [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
Purified preparations of 10-nm neurofilaments from rat spinal cord and bovine or porcine brain contain a predominant 68,000-dalton polypeptide. This polypeptide is also a major component of the neurofilaments that copurify with brain tubulin isolated by ...

The construction of a secretary eukaryotic expression plasmid of chondroitinase ABC Ⅰ

open access: yesChinese Journal of Contemporary Neurology and Neurosurgery, 2010
Objective To construct a secretary eukaryotic expression plasmid for chondroitinase ABCⅠ, and observe the expression of the target protein in a glioma cell line TJ905. Methods The DNA fragments encoding the signal peptide of basilar membrane 40 (BM40) as

A Simpler and Faster Version of Two-Dimensional Gel Electrophoresis Using Vertical, Mini SDS-PAGE Apparatus [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2009
We have modified one of the most useful methods of protein separation; namely, two dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE). This modified version of 2-DE is not only simpler and easier but also faster than all the currently available methods.

Preparation of thin PbTiO3 Nanotubes by the Electrophoretic Deposition Method [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
Sol-gel electrophoresis is used to grow PbTiO3 nanotube arrays in porous anodic alumina template channels, because it is a cheap and simple method for the growth of nanostructures and has the advantage of better tube growth control. Moreover, this method can produce nanotubes with high quality and more condense structures.

Electroblotting onto activated glass. High efficiency preparation of proteins from analytical sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gels for direct sequence analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
We have developed a new method for the isolation of proteins for microsequencing. It consists of electrophoretic transfer (electroblotting) of proteins or their cleavage fragments onto activated glass filter paper sheets immediately after separation by ...

Analysis of rat serum apolipoproteins by isoelectric focusing. I. Studies on the middle molecular weight subunits1

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1977
Analytical isoelectric focusing (IEF) has been applied to the study of the apolipoprotein components of rat serum high density and very low density lipoproteins.
