DECREASING THE ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE GENERATED ON THE SURFACE OF POLYMERIC TEXTILES [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Society of Tribology
The demand for environmentally friendly textiles is growing. It is well known that quality of clothes depends on their comfort, where the measure of the comfort is the friction coefficient and the intensity of electrostatic charge (ESC) generated during ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Electrostatic Charge Generation due to Shear Deformation of Pharmaceutical Powders

open access: yes, 2007
In powder handling operations, such as mixing, conveying, sieving and milling, particles frequently make contact with each other and the walls of the processing equipment.

Electrostatic Force for Swarm Navigation and Reconfiguration

open access: yes, 2009
In this work the concept of a swarm of satellites controlled by a hybrid thrusting electrostatic actuation system is assessed. On one side the propulsion system is investigated.

The influence of contact conditions on surface reaction layers formed between steel surfaces lubricated by an aviation oil [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This study focuses on the influence of load and temperature on the formation and stability of tribo-films for bearing steel on bearing steel contacts lubricated with an aviation oil, EXXON Turbo 2380 (TCP based - tricresyl phosphate) at ambient ...

Electrostatics in the Surroundings of a Topologically Charged Black Hole in the Brane

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2014
We determine the expression for the electrostatic potential generated by a point charge held stationary in the topologically charged black hole spacetime arising from the Randall-Sundrum II braneworld model. We treat the static electric point charge as a

Charging, aggregation, and electrostatic dispersion of radioactive and nonradioactive particles in the atmosphere [PDF]

open access: yesAerosol Research
Electrostatic dispersion can significantly impact the microphysical behavior of charged particles and ions until reaching zero space charge. However, although radioactive particles can be strongly charged in air, the influence of electrostatic dispersion
