Electrostatic field calculations

Journal of Electrostatics, 1991
Abstract Field calculations are required in electrostatics in order to determine the energy and force distributions. These calculations are rendered difficult because the geometry of the field is generally only loosely connected with the shape of the conductors and insulators.

Electrostatic Field Theory

1981
In general the term electromagnetism deals with the mutual interaction of electrical charges. When the charges are stationary, we have problems on electrostatic fields and forces. If the charges are moving uniformly so that a steady current is produced, then we have problems on magnetic fields and forces (see chapter 3).

Automatic Plotting of Electrostatic Fields

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1948
An apparatus is described by means of which plots of the equipotentials of two-dimensional fields may be made automatically from models of the electrodes. The usual electrolytic tank method has been extended by the addition of a servomechanism which causes the probe to traverse an equipotential automatically. A stepping relay operated by a limit switch

Electrostatic Fields 2

1990
In this programme we continue the study of charges at rest and consider: conductors in electrostatic fields capacitance and capacitors dielectrics insulators in electrostatic fields, polarisation electric images energy stored in electric fields mechanical forces in electric fields conditions at a boundary ...

Electrostatic potentials, fields and field gradients

Solid State Communications, 1977
Abstract Series expansions in Fourier space are proposed for potentials, fields and field gradients. The lattice potential is shown to be harmonic on lattice points. A correction proposed for potential and field calculations by Weenk and Harwig has no serious basis.

Electrostatic Fields 1

1990
Electrostatic field theory is concerned with electric charges at rest. In this programme we begin the study of electrostatics by becoming familiar with the meaning of the following terms and concepts: electric charge electric field strength electric field electric lines of force (also known as electric flux or streamlines ...

Electrostatic Fields in Xerography

Applied Optics, 1964
Field calculations provide a better understanding of xerography. The basic equations are given and some typical results are presented and analyzed. Particular emphasis is placed on adjacency effects and the effect of a development electrode.
