Multimedia Content Elements Supply
International Journal of Advanced Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing, 2013The work presented in this paper provides an assessment of how deep the content-based recommendation algorithm described domain movies and TV shows metadata information can influence. The method used in order to verify the results, and to ensure that they are not affected, used data set metadata itself, rather than by the different data sets and ...

Content Literacy: Fundamental Toolkit Elements
The Reading Teacher, 2007The inaugural column in the “Content Literacy” department discusses the importance of teachers' assisting students in grades 4–6 to develop content literacy skills. The discussion centers on levels of literacy and diversity issues facing teachers and then identifies three fundamental elements that should be a part of every teacher's content literacy ...

Elemental proxies for paleosalinity analysis of ancient shales and mudrocks
, 2020Salinity is a fundamental property of watermasses that is useful in paleoenvironmental and paleoecological studies, yet the theory of application of geochemical proxies to paleosalinity reconstruction is underdeveloped.

Relationship Between Meniscal Degeneration and Element Contents
Biological Trace Element Research, 2001The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between meniscal degeneration and element contents. The contents of elements (calcium, phosphorus, sulfur, and magnesium) in the menisci from 17 patients with osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee, 6 with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and 2 who underwent the surgical operation for malignant tumors ...

Hair Element Content in Learning Disabled Children
Science, 1977Hair samples from 31 learning disabled and 22 normal children were analyzed for content of 14 elements. Significant group differences were determined and a discriminant function was completed which separated the groups with 98 percent accuracy. Elevated lead and cadmium content in the learning disabled group is viewed as being of particular importance.

Total elemental content passive personal monitors
American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, 1979The development of specific passive personal monitors for each volatile form of an element should ultimately lead to a common monitor which can detect any or all forms of that element. Such a device is presented here as a total elemental content passive personal monitor and depends upon diffusion to bring gaseous pollutants into its collecting matrices.

TRACE ELEMENT CONTENT OF COMMERCIAL ENTERAL FEEDS
The Lancet, 1983The zinc, copper, iron, and manganese contents of fourteen commercial enteral feeds were measured. In some cases there were large discrepancies between the levels stated by the manufacturers and those found on analysis. Several feeds provided less than the USA recommended dietary allowances and the estimated safe and adequate daily dietary intakes in ...

Trace element content in breasts with fibrocystic disease
Biological Trace Element Research, 1994The trace elements antimony, bromine, cesium, cobalt, iron, rubidium, scandium, strontium and zinc were determined by instrumental neutron activation analysis in breast tissue samples with fibrocystic disease and in samples with fibroadenoma tumors. The histological lesions of each breast sample with fibrocystic disease were recorded, and a statistical

Investigation of trace element content of cheese
Food Additives and Contaminants, 1990Nine trace elements (Al, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb) were determined in cheese by atomic absorption spectrophotometry with electrothermal atomization in a graphite tube, using the ashing procedure. Associations among mineral constituents were studied by means of principal component analysis, which allows determination of interdependences among ...

Trace Element Content of Antarctic Lakes
Nature, 1967THE Taylor and Wright Valleys, McMurdo Sound, Antarctica, contain a series of lakes of particular geochemical interest. Several of these, including Lakes Bonney, Joyce, Fryxell and Hoare in the Taylor Valley and Lake Vanda in the Wright Valley, are, although ice covered, not completely frozen.
