We provide a step‐by‐step guide for producing E140 antigen fragments from Plasmodium berghei (Pb1) and Plasmodium vivax (Pv1). Pb1/Pv1 are expressed in E. coli, solubilized by freeze–thawing, refolded by slow dilution, purified by affinity chromatography (IMAC), then concentrated and subjected to quality control.

A generalized Gaeta's Theorem [PDF]
We generalize Gaeta's Theorem to the family of determinantal schemes. In other words, we show that the schemes defined by minors of a fixed size of a matrix with polynomial entries belong to the same G-biliaison class of a complete intersection whenever they have maximal possible codimension, given the size of the matrix and of the minors that define ...

GPR142, a tryptophan‐sensing receptor, stimulates gastrointestinal hormones like ghrelin and is linked to inflammation regulation. Proinflammatory cytokines suppress ghrelin production, while tryptophan levels decrease via IDO1 activation. Our findings reveal that proinflammatory cytokines directly regulate GPR142 expression in ghrelin‐producing cells,

An ELISA for detection of apoptosis [PDF]
We describe a simple and convenient enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection of apoptosis in tissue culture. An early event in apoptosis is DNA fragmentation followed by release of nucleosomes into the cytoplasm. Our sandwich assay uses a pair of monoclonal antibodies specific for two nucleosomal epitopes to capture and detect ...

Hydrogen sulfide repairs testicular damage induced by heat stress in rats
Heat stress can cause testicular damage and affect fertility. We investigated the potential protective role of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) against heat stress‐induced testicular injury and observed that H2S donor NaHS can effectively restore testicular damage in rats by inhibiting inflammation and oxidative stress. Our results suggest that H2S might be used
