Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Design and characterization of a research electrohydraulic lithotripter patterned after the Dornier HM3 [PDF]
An electrohydraulic lithotripter has been designed that mimics the behavior of the Dornier HM3 extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter. The key mechanical and electrical properties of a clinical HM3 were measured and a design implemented to replicate ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Flux profile optimisation of a high-flux solar simulator using the trust-region reflective method
In multi-lamp, high-flux solar simulators, the flux profile can be affected by the choice of lamp, reflector, and a variety of geometric design parameters, some of which can be altered after construction.

Optical Multicolor WBVR-Observations of the X-Ray Star V1341 Cyg = Cyg X-2 in 1986-1992
We present the results of $WBVR$ observations of the low-mass X-ray binary V1341 $\textrm{Cyg} = \textrm{Cyg}$ X--2. Our observations include a total of 2375 individual measurements in four bands on 478 nights in 1986-1992.

The Optical Design and Characterization of the Microwave Anisotropy Probe [PDF]
The primary goal of the MAP satellite, now in orbit, is to make high fidelity polarization sensitive maps of the full sky in five frequency bands between 20 and 100 GHz.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Water-waves focusing by an elliptical reflector
Focusing water waves is a potential technology improving the power generation of wave energy converters. Two semi-ellipsoidal reflectors, including long-axis opening and short-axis opening, were adopted to investigate the water-wave focusing effects.

The massive white dwarf in the recurrent nova T CrB [PDF]
We have obtained I, J, H and K band light curves of the recurrent nova T CrB. We find that we can only fit the $J$ band light curve with a Roche-lobe filling secondary star and a dark spot of radius 11-26 derees (90 per cent confidence) centred at the ...
