Development of Elpasolite and Monoclinic Thermal Neutron Scintillators
IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium Conference Record, 2005, 2006Scintillation properties of Ce doped Cs/sub 2/LiYBr/sub 6/, Rb/sub 2/LiScBr/sub 6/, Rb/sub 2/LiYBr/sub 6/, Rb/sub 2/LiLaBr/sub 6/, Rb/sub 2/LiYI/sub 6/ elpasolite, and Li/sub 3/YBr/sub 6/ monoclinic inorganic thermal-neutron scintillator crystals were investigated. Light yields and decay times were studied.

Magnetic properties of the rare earth elpasolite Cs2NaNdCl6
Journal of the Less Common Metals, 1983Abstract As part of a very general investigation of the magnetic and structural properties of the rare earth elpasolites Cs 2 NaLnCl 6 we report here magnetic measurements and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and electron spin resonance (ESR) results obtained for the neodymium compound.

Spectral-luminescent properties of actinides in elpasolite structure
Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry Articles, 1990Absorption, luminescence and self-luminescence spectra of transuranium elements (Np3+, Am3+, Cm3+) doped into Cs2NaLnCl6 (Ln=La, Lu) crystals are presented. In the case of Am3+ an attempt has been made to investigate luminescence excitation mechanisms.

Up-conversion in elpasolite crystals doped with U3+
Chemical Physics Letters, 2000Abstract Two elpasolite crystals Cs2NaYBr6 and Cs2NaYCl6, both doped with U3+ were investigated. The emission from the 4 G 7/2 , 4 F 3/2 , and 4 I 11/2 levels was found. Decay times of the visible emission were measured as a function of temperature.

Luminescence of the uranyl-ion-doped elpasolite lattice
Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2000Distinct species U(III), U(IV), U(V) and U(VI) have been identified when U(VI) or U(IV) species are doped into the cubic elpasolite lattice. The band intensities, and derived vibrational frequencies, in the luminescence and absorption spectra of the uranyl ion situated in this lattice are compared with those of Cs2UO2Cl4.

Luminescence of the new elpasolite Rb2KGaF6 doped with Cr3+
Journal of Luminescence, 1991Abstract Photoluminescence, lifetime, optical absorption and EPR measurements on Rb 2 KGaF 6 :Cr 3+ have been carried out in the 10–300 K temperature range. The emission spectrum at 10 K shows a very rich vibrational structure which can be mainly explained through the vibrational modes of the CrF 6 3− complex.

Distinction between alloyed Perovskite and elpasolite nanocrystals
2023In the previous decade, a lot of research has been done in the area of halide perovskite materials which has led them to be used in all different typed of photonic applications. The low dimension crystals of this structure have also shown a lot of promise in quantum photonic devices.

Applications of Elpasolites as a Multimode Radiation Sensor
2017This study consists of both computational and experimental investigations. The computational results enabled detector design selections and confirmed experimental results. The experimental results determined that the CLYC scintillation detector can be applied as a functional and field-deployable multimode radiation sensor.
