Research on the Prediction-Based Clustering Method in the Community of Medical Vehicles for Connected Health

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Combined with the Internet of Vehicles, some intelligent systems for connected health can make medical vehicles transport medical supplies more safely and timely in response to catastrophic natural disasters or serious accidents.

Equilibrium and Dynamical Evolution of Self-Gravitating System Embedded in a Potential Well

open access: yes, 2011
Isothermal and self-gravitating systems bound by non-conducting and conducting walls are known to be unstable if the density contrast between the center and the boundary exceeds critical values.

Investigating the cell of origin and novel molecular targets in Merkel cell carcinoma: a historic misnomer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

Ultrasound array transmitter architecture with high timing resolution using embedded phase-locked loops [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Coarse time quantization of delay profiles within ultrasound array systems can produce undesirable sidelobes in the radiated beam profile. The severity of these sidelobes is dependent upon the magnitude of phase quantization error - the deviation from ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Traffic Flow Data Prediction Using Residual Deconvolution Based Deep Generative Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Traffic flow prediction is quite crucial for estimating the future traffic states, efficient and accurate prediction models greatly contribute to the smooth traffic of road networks.

Capturing Assumptions while Designing a Verification Model for Embedded Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A formal proof of a system correctness typically holds under a number of assumptions. Leaving them implicit raises the chance of using the system in a context that violates some assumptions, which in return may invalidate the correctness proof.

Quantum simulation of Rindler transformations

open access: yes, 2018
We show how to implement a Rindler transformation of coordinates with an embedded quantum simulator. A suitable mapping allows to realise the unphysical operation in the simulated dynamics by implementing a quantum gate on an enlarged quantum system ...

Architecture-Driven Semantic Analysis of Embedded Systems (Eds) Dagstuhl Seminar 12272 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Architectural modeling of complex embedded systems is gaining prominence in recent years, both in academia and in industry. An architectural model represents components in a distributed system as boxes with well-defined interfaces, connections between ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.
