Evaluation of Facial Artery Course Variations, Diameters, and Depth Using Doppler Ultrasonography: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 24, Issue 9, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Background The facial artery (FA), as the primary vascular structure of the face, exhibits numerous anatomical variations. Determining its anatomical variation (vascular mapping) by ultrasonography (US)—a non‐invasive, low‐cost, practical, and bedside‐applicable imaging technique—helps achieve safe aesthetic injections, averting complications ...

Real‐World Assessment of Liver Corrected T1 and Magnetic Resonance Elastography in Predicting Liver Disease Progression

open access: yesLiver International, Volume 45, Issue 9, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Clinical guidelines emphasise identifying patients at risk of chronic liver disease progression. To avoid biopsy drawbacks, noninvasive imaging tests (NITs) have become part of standard‐of‐care. We assessed the real‐world clinical profile, referral trends, and use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)‐based tests, multiparametric MRI (

The Prognostic Value of the XPC rs2228001 Single Nucleotide Polymorphism in Cholangiocarcinoma

open access: yesLiver International, Volume 45, Issue 9, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is one of the most prevalent primary liver malignancies with increasing incidence and mortality rates, particularly in Southeast Asia. Surgical resection is a primary therapeutic option offered to patients with localised disease. Unfortunately, early disease recurrence is common and robust tools for

Temporally disjunct herbaceous species differ in leaf embolism resistance

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 247, Issue 6, Page 2630-2646, September 2025.
Summary In the temperate Northern Hemisphere, herbaceous community composition undergoes major seasonal phenological shifts. Despite significant variation in water availability across growing seasons, few studies have associated physiological traits with seasonal shifts in community composition.

14. Discogenic Low Back Pain

open access: yesPain Practice, Volume 25, Issue 7, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Introduction Discogenic low back pain can be severely disabling, clinically challenging to diagnose, and expensive to treat. Disc degeneration is characterized by disc dehydration, which diminishes the ability of the disc to distribute pressure, making it more susceptible to damage, and leading to annular tears, fissures, and a higher ...

ATF6 Alleviates Endothelial Inflammation Following Extended Hepatectomy Through Inhibition of TRIM10/NF‐κB Signaling

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 39, Issue 16, 31 August 2025.
Activating transcription factor 6 (ATF6) in liver endothelial cells is upregulated and activated following the extended hepatectomy in both humans and rodents. ATF6 deficiency or pharmacological inhibition of ATF6 leads to severe endothelial inflammation in mice and HUVECs.
