A Comparison of the Mechanical Properties of ECM Components and Synthetic Self‐Assembling Peptides
Self‐assembling peptide hydrogels are increasingly utilized in biomedical applications. The authors review the key mechanical properties of these structures across multiple size scales and compare them to that of native extracellular matrix components, which are found to display a much wider range of structural attributes.

Multimodal Learning for Embryo Viability Prediction in Clinical IVF [PDF]
In clinical In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), identifying the most viable embryo for transfer is important to increasing the likelihood of a successful pregnancy. Traditionally, this process involves embryologists manually assessing embryos' static morphological features at specific intervals using light microscopy.

Objective: Recurrent implantation failure (RIF) is the main challenge in assisted reproductive technology (ART) practice. Sequential embryo transfer, in which both, cleavage-stage embryo on day 3 and blastocyst on day 5, are sequentially transferred in ...

Early prediction of the transferability of bovine embryos from videomicroscopy [PDF]
Videomicroscopy is a promising tool combined with machine learning for studying the early development of in vitro fertilized bovine embryos and assessing its transferability as soon as possible. We aim to predict the embryo transferability within four days at most, taking 2D time-lapse microscopy videos as input.

Segmented PCL‐bisurea (BU) polymers and BU‐peptide conjugate additives assemble into fibrous superstructures at the nanoscale through a mix‐and‐matching strategy. Different bioactivities are incorporated through variation of peptide sequences. The resulting materials are screened for their effect on stem cell adhesion and pluripotency.

Atlas-based automated detection of swim bladder in Medaka embryo [PDF]
Fish embryo models are increasingly being used both for the assessment of chemicals efficacy and potential toxicity. This article proposes a methodology to automatically detect the swim bladder on 2D images of Medaka fish embryos seen either in dorsal view or in lateral view. After embryo segmentation and for each studied orientation, the method builds

Effect of autologous platelet-rich plasma treatment on patients with thin endometrium
Introduction: The success of frozen embryo transfer cycles depends on a delicate interaction between embryo quality and endometrium. Low pregnancy rates are associated with a thin endometrium. Objective: To evaluate the effect of autologous platelet-rich
