Evaluation of effects caused by differentially spliced Ets-1 transcripts in fibroblasts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The transcription factor Ets-1 is known to be involved in a broad variety of cellular functions such as cell proliferation, migration, invasion, apoptosis and angiogenesis.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Adult Pure Yolk Sac Tumor of The Testis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Adult pure yolk sac tumor (YST) is extremely rare. In childhood pure yolk sac tumors are most frequently seen, whereas component of mixed germ cell testicular tumors observed in adults.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Pathological and therapeutic profiles of umbilical sinus

open access: yesAdvanced Medical Journal, 2022
Background and objective: Umbilical sinus develops either in an abnormal embryonal remnant of Omphalomesenteric & Urachal ducts, or secondary to hair insertion in the umbilical skin with resultant suppuration ending in what is named umbilical pilonidal

Dammarenediol II enhances etoposide‐induced apoptosis by targeting O‐GlcNAc transferase and Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling in liver cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma of the chest wall: A case report and review of the literature

open access: yesIndian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology, 2008
Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma is a soft-tissue sarcoma which has a predilection for the head and neck area, genitourinary tract and the extremities. We report a rare case of embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma of the chest wall in an 8-year-old girl, presenting as a

Undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver: A rare hepatic tumor and its related characteristic radiological features

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2021
The undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver is a rare tumor with a poor prognosis, with improved outcomes being reported with more recently multimodality treatments.
