An empirical evaluation of entropy-based traffic anomaly detection [PDF]
Entropy-based approaches for anomaly detection are appealing since they provide more fine-grained insights than traditional traffic volume analysis. While previous work has demonstrated the benefits of entropy-based anomaly detection, there has been little effort to comprehensively understand the detection power of using entropy-based analysis of ...

Ultrasonic Flaw Echo Enhancement Based on Empirical Mode Decomposition
The detection of flaw echoes in backscattered signals in ultrasonic nondestructive testing can be challenging due to the existence of backscattering noise and electronic noise.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

How to Catch the Ball: Fullerene Binding to the Corannulene Pincer
The corannulene pincer (also known in the literature as the buckycatcher) is a fascinating system that may encapsulate, among other molecules, the C60 and C70 fullerenes. These complexes are held together by strong π-stacking interactions. Although these

Consistency analysis of an empirical minimum error entropy algorithm
In this paper we study the consistency of an empirical minimum error entropy (MEE) algorithm in a regression setting. We introduce two types of consistency. The error entropy consistency, which requires the error entropy of the learned function to approximate the minimum error entropy, is shown to be always true if the bandwidth parameter tends to 0 at

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.
