Academy of Management Journal, 1986This study investigates the relationship between the extent to which employees have opportunities to voice dissatisfaction and voluntary turnover in 111 short-term, general care hospitals. Results show that, whether or not a union is present, high numbers of mechanisms for employee voice are associated with high retention rates. Implications for theory

2023Abstract This research tries to identify the impact on employee retention on employee performance. The data has been collected from 50 samples and respondents are from employees of SMEs in Pondicherry. Hence, it is concluded that there is direct influence of job characteristics (skill variety and task identity) on employee retention.
