Flexible piezoresistive pressure sensors underpin wearable and soft electronics. This review links sensing physics, including contact resistance modulation, quantum tunneling and percolation, to unified materials/structure design. We highlight composite and graded architectures, interfacial/porous engineering, and microstructured 3D conductive networks

Conventional doping of P3HT with F4TCNQ results in poor charge transport. However, when F4TCNQ is exchanged with LiTFSI, the transport characteristics are greatly enhanced. We find the increase in charge transport is directly related to an increase in the mesoscale ordering of P3HT, resulting in longer and better‐connected transport pathways.

A novel thermos‐responsive hydroxypropyl cellulose/graphene oxide (HPC/GO) composite membrane is fabricated for reversible temperature‐gated ion transport in aqueous zinc‐ion batteries. Enabled by LCST‐driven structural transition, unimpeded ion diffusion at room temperature delivers high capacity, while elevated temperature suppresses transport; full ...

Are fixed-term jobs bad for your health? : a comparison of West-Germany and Spain [PDF]
"In this paper we analyse the health effects of fixed-term contract status for men and women in West-Germany and Spain using panel data. This paper asks whether changes in the employment relationship, as a result of the liberalisation of employment law ...

Scanning electrochemical microscopy reveals reactant diffusion through porous carbon shells to PtFe cores, while the carbon‐encapsulated PtFe enables high‐performance HT‐PEMFC operation by sieving phosphate ions that induce catalyst poisoning. ABSTRACT High‐temperature polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (HT‐PEMFCs) operating at 160°C on phosphoric

Light‐Actuated Fiber‐Climbing Inchworm Robot Toward Endoluminal Navigation
A kirigami‐inspired soft inchworm robot harnesses optical energy from a customized side‐emitting optical fiber, guaranteeing its propulsion along the fiber body. The wavelength‐selective responsiveness of dye‐functionalized liquid crystal elastomers and the application of temporal illumination patterns enable sequential control of robot components. The

When are layoffs acceptable? Evidence from a quasi-experiment [PDF]
Many authors have discussed a decline in internal labor markets and an apparent shift to a new employment contract, characterized by less commitment between employer and employee and more portable skills.
