This study used tilapia myofibrillar proteins (MP) as the base material, corn oil as the oil phase, and incorporated corn starch (CS) to construct emulsion gels, aiming to investigate the effects of pregelatinized CS at varying temperatures (25, 40, 60 ...

Diabetes is an independent risk factor for gallstones. It upregulates CXCR2 expression in hepatic neutrophils, stimulating the formation of NETs that disrupt hepatocellular tight junctions and the liver‐bile barrier. NETs enter bile to accelerate gallstone development, while sarcosine inhibits CXCR2 and NETs production, effectively reducing diabetes ...

Endothelial PDGF Signaling Dysregulation Impairs Testicular Interstitial Homeostasis in Diabetes
Testicular endothelial cells (TECs) function as central signaling hubs that coordinate interstitial homeostasis. Diabetes disrupts TEC‐derived PDGF signaling, silences the JUND‐MCL1 survival program in Leydig cells, and impairs peritubular function, leading to fibrosis and testosterone insufficiency.

Lignin gel emulsions for environmentally benign hair conditioning
Hair care products have complex surfactant and stabilizer compositions arising from oleochemicals, raising concerns over sustainability. Here, we show a fully biobased hair conditioner based on micellar lignin gels that stabilize emulsions with triglyceride oils.

Astrocytic TIA1‐mediated stress granules (SGs) promote demyelination by sequestering the mRNA of cholesterol synthesis genes. In this model, astrocytic TIA1‐mediated SGs were increased in the optic nerves of EAE mice, leading to the downregulation of cholesterol synthesis genes such as HMGCS1 through sequestration of their mRNA into SGs, which ...

In ankylosing spondylitis (AS), mechanical strain‐programmed SDC1+ sheath fibroblasts secrete CXCL5 to recruit neutrophils and promote the activation of CXCR4hi neutrophils, thereby exacerbating enthesitis by promoting neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) formation. SOX5 controls the generation of SDC1+ sheath fibroblasts via super‐enhancers.

Legumain (LGMN) is upregulated in macrophages during sarcoid‑like granuloma formation. Macrophage‑derived LGMN binds to integrin αvβ3 and suppresses mTORC1/STAT1 signaling to restrain M1 macrophage polarization. Intratracheal delivery of lipid nanoparticles carrying Lgmn plasmid DNA (pDNA) elevates LGMN expression and effectively attenuates pulmonary ...

Hepatocyte BDNF Acts as a Novel Immune Checkpoint to Restrain TLR4‐Mediated Acute Hepatitis
This study identifies hepatocyte‐derived BDNF as an endogenous TLR4 antagonist that alleviates acute hepatitis. BDNF is downregulated in hepatocytes via REST‐mediated transcriptional repression during ALI/ALF. Mechanistically, BDNF binds to TLR4 on macrophages to suppress inflammation.
