Sclerosing Encapsulating Peritonitis Combined With Peritoneal Encapsulation

Archives of Surgery, 1993
The combined occurrence of idiopathic sclerosing encapsulating peritonitis and peritoneal encapsulation is described. A 52-year-old man presented with intestinal obstruction. The results of preoperative examinations were suggestive of sclerosing encapsulating peritonitis.

Drop Encapsulated in Bubble: A New Encapsulation Structure

Physical Review Letters, 2018
A new fluid encapsulation structure, which is characterized by a bubble encapsulating a drop, is reported. It is stably generated from the breakup of a liquid column inside a bubble, which is achieved via the injection of Taylor flow into liquid. A model is constructed to explain the liquid column breakup mechanism.

Encapsulating architecture and encapsulating processes

Behavioral and Brain Sciences, 2002
Thomas & Karmiloff-Smith (T&K-S) raise the excellent and, in retrospect, obvious point that in a dynamic learning environment where feedback is possible, we should expect networks to adapt to damage by altering details of their behavior. We should therefore not expect that developmental disorders should result in “normal” modules.

Iterators and encapsulation

Proceedings 33rd International Conference on Technology of Object-Oriented Languages and Systems TOOLS 33, 2002
Iterators are an important object oriented design pattern, providing sequential access to the state stored in other objects. Precisely because iterators need to access the state of other objects, iterators' design can be at odds with the encapsulation provided by object oriented languages. We present a range of designs for iterator objects, showing how

The encapsulation of tumours

Clinical & Experimental Metastasis, 1989
An understanding of the nature and significance of tumour capsules may give added perspective to our understanding of the processes of tumour invasion and metastasis. The commonly held concepts of capsule pathogenesis (the expansive growth and foreign body hypotheses) should probably be discarded as they are not supported by experimental evidence ...

Composable Encapsulation Policies

2004
Given the importance of encapsulation to object-oriented programming, it is surprising to note that mainstream object-oriented languages offer only limited and fixed ways of encapsulating methods. Typically one may only address two categories of clients, users and heirs, and one must bind visibility and access rights at an early stage. This can lead to

Encapsulations

Space and Culture, 2007
This article outlines how the visual and spatial structure of Montreal's Expo 67, its texture, encapsulated a “future gaze” and how this encapsulation project was related to the overarching transformations of Montreal. Expo 67 was a sight, an experience-scape, and a mediator of Montreal as a future world metropolis. The article discusses how different “
