Measuring Calcium Efflux in Isolated Primary Mitochondria
Abstract Mitochondrial calcium (mCa2+) homeostasis promotes oxidative metabolism within the physiological range; however, dysregulation can trigger necrotic cell death in diseases such as cardiac ischemia‐reperfusion injury, muscular dystrophy, and neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer's disease.

Alterations of circulating innate lymphoid cells in recent‐onset type 1 diabetes
Circulating innate lymphoid cells (ILC) in patients with recent‐onset type 1 diabetes (T1D) show a chronic activation and a primed phenotype, with overexpression of HLA Class II (ILC1 and ILCP) and dysregulation of costimulatory and migratory mRNA transcripts. Glucose and cytokines (IL‐1β) mediate circulating ILC activation and HLA Class II expression.
