We consider the following problem: given three sets of real numbers, output a word-RAM data structure from which we can efficiently recover the sign of the sum of any triple of numbers, one in each set. This is similar to a previous work by some of the authors to encode the order type of a finite set of points.

FoldingNet: Point Cloud Auto-Encoder via Deep Grid Deformation
Recent deep networks that directly handle points in a point set, e.g., PointNet, have been state-of-the-art for supervised learning tasks on point clouds such as classification and segmentation.

Brain tumor segmentation by deep learning transfer methods using MRI images
Brain tumor segmentation is one of the most challenging tasks of medical image analysis. The diagnosis of patients with gliomas is based on the analysis of magnetic resonance images and manual segmentation of tumor boundaries.

Distributed task encoding [PDF]
The rate region of the task-encoding problem for two correlated sources is characterized using a novel parametric family of dependence measures. The converse uses a new expression for the $ρ$-th moment of the list size, which is derived using the relative $α$-entropy.

The linear time encoding scheme fails to encode
We point out an error in the paper "Linear Time Encoding of LDPC Codes" (by Jin Lu and José M. F. Moura, IEEE Trans). The paper claims to present a linear time encoding algorithm for every LDPC code. We present a family of counterexamples, and point out where the analysis fails.

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Contractive De-noising Auto-encoder
Auto-encoder is a special kind of neural network based on reconstruction. De-noising auto-encoder (DAE) is an improved auto-encoder which is robust to the input by corrupting the original data first and then reconstructing the original input by ...

Encoding Race, Encoding Class [PDF]
In Encoding Race, Encoding Class Sareeta Amrute explores the work and private lives of highly skilled Indian IT coders in Berlin to reveal the oft-obscured realities of the embodied, raced, and classed nature of cognitive labor. In addition to conducting fieldwork and interviews in IT offices as well as analyzing political cartoons, advertisements, and

ABSTRACT Background PIK3CA‐related overgrowth spectrum (PROS) includes several rare overgrowth disorders resulting from somatic gain‐of‐function mutations in PIK3CA. Despite treatment advances, including the recent approval of alpelisib for PROS in the United States, literature detailing the patient experience with PROS is limited.
