Synergy of endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 and 2 (ERAP1 and ERAP2) polymorphisms in atopic dermatitis: Effects on disease prevalence

Human Immunology, 2021
Endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidases ERAP1 and ERAP2 trim peptides to a length of 8-10 amino acids optimal for binding by HLA class I molecules. Although these two enzymes may work separately, but they may also form a heterodimer of enhanced trimming efficiency.

Substrate-dependent nitric oxide synthesis by secreted endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 in macrophages

Journal of Biochemistry, 2015
In this study, we examined the role of aminopeptidases with reference to endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 (ERAP1) in nitric oxide (NO) synthesis employing murine macrophage cell line RAW264.7 cells activated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and interferon (IFN)-γ and LPS-activated peritoneal macrophages derived from ERAP1 knockout mouse.

THU0351 The Role of Endoplasmic Reticulum Aminopeptidase 1 (ERAP1) in the Pathogenesis of Ankylosing Spondylitis

Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, 2013
Background Although genetic factors known to play crucial role in the pathogenesis of ankylosing spondylitis (AS), little is known about the molecular mechanisms that are responsible. In that context, endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 (ERAP1) gene has been suggested as the most important factor in genetic susceptibility, with the exception of HLA-

Genetic contribution of endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 polymorphisms to liver fibrosis progression in patients with HCV infection

Journal of Molecular Medicine, 2020
The endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase ERAP1 regulates innate and adaptive immune responses, trimming peptides and loading onto HLA class I molecules. Coding single nucleotide polymorphisms within ERAP1 are associated with autoimmune diseases, viral infections, and cancer development.

Visualization of Endoplasmic Reticulum Aminopeptidase 1 under Different Redox Conditions with a Two-Photon Fluorescent Probe

Analytical Chemistry, 2017
Endoplasmic reticulum aminopeptidase 1 (ERAP1), a metallopeptidase belonging to the M1 peptidase family, plays an important role in antigen processing in vivo. Additionally, many diseases are caused by ERAP1 perturbation. Thus, an efficient method for monitoring its content is extremely important for disease diagnosis and treatment.
