White Light Generation From YAG:Ce‐Doped Phosphate Glass‐Based Composite Fibers

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
The first white‐light‐emitting composite fiber based on YAG:Ce3+ phosphors in phosphate glass is developed. The glass composition is custom‐engineered to enhance thermal stability and to match YAG:Ce3+ refractive index, ensuring composite transparency.

Adenocarcinoma originating in the anterior mediastinum diagnosed by endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial cryobiopsy: a case report

open access: yesBMC Pulmonary Medicine
Background Endobronchial ultrasound-guided transbronchial cryobiopsy (EBUS-cryobiopsy) is advantageous for collecting larger specimens with minimal crushing; however, it has not been widely used for mediastinal tumors.

Advanced imaging for detection and differentiation of colorectal neoplasia: European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) Guideline – Update 2019

open access: yesEndoscopy, 2019
Main Recommendations 1 ESGE suggests that high definition endoscopy, and dye or virtual chromoendoscopy, as well as add-on devices, can be used in average risk patients to increase the endoscopist’s adenoma detection rate. However, their routine use must

From Rigid to Soft Robotic Approaches for Neuroendoscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Robotic assistance has had minimal impact on deep intraventricular surgeries, where small‐scale, precision, and reduced invasiveness can contribute to improved patient outcomes. Emerging technologies in rigid, soft, and hybrid robotics are reviewed to identify the most promising mechanisms for deep brain navigation in addition to an attempt to identify

The effect of weight loss and exercise on Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQOL) following Endoscopic Bariatric Therapies (EBT) for obesity

open access: yesHealth and Quality of Life Outcomes, 2020
Introduction Endoscopic bariatric therapies (EBT) have demonstrated to induce weight loss and improve comorbidities in obese patients. However, little is known about its impact on health-related quality of life (HRQOL) outcomes and physical activity ...

The Functional Equation and Beyond Endoscopy

open access: yes, 2012
In his paper "Beyond Endoscopy," Langlands tries to understand functoriality via poles of L-functions. The following paper further investigates the analytic continuation of a L-function associated to a $GL_2$ automorphic form through the trace formula ...
