Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Heart of glass anchors Rasip1 at endothelial cell-cell junctions to support vascular integrity. [PDF]
Heart of Glass (HEG1), a transmembrane receptor, and Rasip1, an endothelial-specific Rap1-binding protein, are both essential for cardiovascular development.

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Corneal endothelial changes after subscleral trabeculectomy with mitomycin-C
Background Antimetabolites have been proposed to increase the success rate and reduce fibrosis associated with filtering surgery. However, they have cytotoxic effect on corneal endothelial cells.

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

LYSOSOME-DEPENDENT CELL DEATH DEFINES SPECIFIC ENDOTHELIAL TOXICITY OF CALCIUM PHOSPHATE BIONS
Aim of the study was to identify the mechanism of specific endothelial toxicity related to calcium phosphate bions (CPB). Material and methods. CPB and magnesium phosphate bions (MPB) were artificially synthesised through supersaturation of culture ...
