UV‐Triggered Hydrogel Coating of the Double Network Polyelectrolytes for Enhanced Endothelialization
The left atrial appendage (LAA) occluder is an important medical device for closing the LAA and preventing stroke. The device‐related thrombus (DRT) prevents the implantation of the occluder in exerting the desired therapeutic effect, which is primarily ...

Improved endothelialization of small-diameter ePTFE vascular grafts through growth factor therapy
Background: Prosthetic vascular grafts in humans characteristically lack confluent endothelialization regardless of the duration of implantation. Use of high-porosity grafts has been proposed as a way to induce endothelialization through transgraft ...

Endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerosis [PDF]
Mammalian endothelium acts as a mediator in arterial and venous relaxation and contraction. Endothelium-dependent relaxation is due to endothelial release of powerful, non-prostanoid vasodilatory substances. The best known of these is the endothelial factor EDRF identified as nitrous oxide (NO).

Graphene Oxide Formation Mechanism and Organosulfates Interlayer Bridging
Graphene oxide formation was investigated using a modified Hummers method, revealing that oxidation is completed within 2 h, with no advantages from longer reaction times. Sulfur functionalities are introduced early and persist throughout the process. At extended times, interlayer sulfate bridges form, limiting exfoliation.

Polyurethan-based scaffolds for cardiovascular implant devices
Polymeric per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and its expanded form (ePTFE), are widely used due to their exceptional chemical resistance and biocompatibility, particularly in medical devices.
