The endotoxin test is based on the reaction between Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) and the lipopolysaccharides of Gram-negative bacteria. In this study, we sought to identify factors that interfere with the LAL testing of radiopharmaceuticals and ...

Endotoxins are lipopolysaccharides found in the outer membrane of most Gram-negative bacteria and cyanobacteria. Worker exposure to endotoxins has been shown in a number of work situations and is associated with both respiratory and systemic pathologies.

ABSTRACT Alpha‐1‐antitrypsin (A1AT) is a multifunctional, clinically important, high‐value therapeutic glycoprotein that can be used for the treatment of many diseases, such as A1AT deficiency, diabetes, graft‐versus‐host disease, cystic fibrosis, and various viral infections. Currently, the only U.S. food and drug administration‐approved treatment for

Microbial Hydrolysates as Amino Acid Source in Cell Culture Media for Cellular Agriculture
ABSTRACT The high cost of cultivation media remains one of the barriers to the commercialization of cultivated meat. Current serum‐free media reduce reliance on fetal bovine serum but only achieve modest cost savings. Especially at larger scales (> 20 m3), pharmaceutical‐grade amino acids and recombinant proteins remain major cost drivers.

Protein hydrolysates in cell culture: Toward multi‐omics characterization
While protein hydrolysates are widely used in cell culture applications, they remain undefined and variable products. Multi‐omic characterization evaluating composition and function can transition hydrolysates toward semi‐defined media components.

Demonstrating pharmacological effects in early‐phase oncology clinical trials remains challenging, largely due to the lack of robust pharmacodynamic markers. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is used as an immune challenge agent in healthy participants to study drugs for autoimmune conditions.

Determination of endotoxins in the vital pulp of human carious teeth: Association with pulpal pain
Objectives. The aims of this investigation were to determine the presence or absence of endotoxins in the pulp of symptomatic and symptom-free human carious teeth, to quantify the amount of endotoxins present, and to associate the presence of endotoxins ...
