Studies on energetic compounds

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2005
Thermal analysis of pure RDX and its plastic bonded explosive (PBX) with hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) has been undertaken using TG-DTG and DTA techniques. Isothermal TG has been done and the data therefrom has been used to evaluate kinetic parameters using model fitting method and a model-free isoconversional method.

Molecular polarizabilities of some energetic compounds

Journal of Molecular Modeling, 2021
The dependence of sensitivity of an explosive on its molecular structure may be mainly attributed to the molecular deformability, which can be expressed by some characteristic parameters, resonance energy for aromatic an explosive, strain energy for a strained-ring or strained-cage explosive, large π-π separation energy for a large π-π linked-explosive,

Energetics of C1-Compound Metabolism

Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, 1987
The thermodynamics of C1-metabolism, the mechanism of energy conservation, and growth yields will be discussed. Aerobic C1-utilizers and anaerobic C1-utilizers will be dealt with in separate chapters. The treatise is selective as is the literature review.

Disubstituted Azidotetrazoles as Energetic Compounds

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2009
AbstractBase‐catalyzed activation of the CF bond in the trifluoromethylazo‐substituted cyclic and acyclic alkanes provides a route to disubstituted azidotetrazoles. For example, the reaction of 1,2‐bis(trifluoromethylazo)ethane with four equivalents of NaN3 gave the alkyl‐bridged bis(5‐azido‐1H‐tetrazol‐1‐yl)‐1,2‐dimine, N,N′‐bis(5‐azido‐1H‐tetrazol‐1‐

Studies on energetic compounds

Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1996
Thermal and explosion characteristics of ring(menu) substituted arylammonium perehlorates (RSAP) are studied by IYI'A, impact and friction sensitivity measurements. Exothermie decomposition temperature (Td) from DTA curves and impact sensitivity data (hso~) were found to be linearly related to the Hammett substituent constant (e+,cr -) and pK, values ...

Synthesis of Functionalized Tetrazenes as Energetic Compounds

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2009
1,4-Bis[1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1H-tetrazol-5-yl]-1,4-dimethyl-2-tetrazene (12a), 1,4-bis[1-isopropoxycarbonylmethyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl]-1,4-dimethyl-2-tetrazene (12b), and 1,4-bis[1-carboxymethyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl]-1,4-dimethyl-2-tetrazene (13) have been synthesized as new nitrogen-rich compounds. The tetrazenes were obtained by oxidation of the corresponding

Oxatriazoles: Potential Frameworks for Energetic Compounds?

Propellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, 2021
AbstractFourteen oxatriazoles have been investigated computationally as potential energetic compounds. They include the two isomeric parent compounds, their amino and nitro derivatives, four N‐oxides and four amino‐N‐oxides. Densities and solid state heats of formation were calculated for all of these compounds, and used to determine their detonation ...

Thermal Studies on Energetic Compounds

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2004
The nitrate complexes of copper, nickel and zinc with diethylenetriamine (dien) i.e. [Cu(dien)2](NO3)2, [Ni(dien)2](NO3)2·2H2O and [Zn(dien)2](NO3)2 have been prepared and characterised. Thermal studies were undertaken using TG-DTG, DSC, ignition delay (tid) and ignition temperature (IT) measurements.
