Energy-Efficient Coded Caching and Resource Allocation for Smart Grid-Supported HetNets
2020Compared with uncoded caching, coded caching (CC) that exploits accumulated cache size and distributes fractions of a file in different base stations (BSs), can significantly reduce delays and backhaul transmissions. Small base stations (SBSs) with both cache and energy harvesting (EH) ability have attracted extensive attention in recent years ...

Non-systematic turbo coding with unequal energy allocation for nonuniform memoryless sources
Proceedings. International Symposium on Information Theory, 2005. ISIT 2005., 2005Non-systematic channel codes can have a significant advantage over systematic codes when utilizing redundancy left in the data for channel decoding. However, results previously attained show that even with such codes there is a performance gap to the theoretical limits.

Energy-aware power allocation for asymmetric analog network coding with statistical CSI
2013 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC), 2013Energy efficiency (EE) is among the main considerations in the design of modern wireless networks. In this paper, we investigate the EE enhancement for asymmetric analog network coding (ANC) protocol of a two-way relay system based on statistical channel information.

This paper proposes an energy efficient antennas allocation method for network-coded MIMO multicast communications. By means of the definition of a suitable objective function it is shown that it is possible to select the optimal number of antennas in transmission/reception and the most convenient modulation scheme in order to minimize both the overall

Network coding is significantly able to save system resources for wireless networks, and has been widely studied for the 802.11 wireless local area network and traditional cellular networks. The relay technology was introduced in 802.16j, 802.16m, and Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) standards.

The design of a source-controlled turbo coding scheme for the transmission of strongly nonuniform binary memoryless sources over additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels is considered. The use of nonbinary signaling allows performance improvements over previous existing schemes that use binary modulation.

In this paper, we propose the optimal resource allocation strategies for energy constrained coded cooperative networks. By combining power control and multi-relays selection with LOC adjustment, our schemes aim at providing higher QoS and extending network lifetime.

Source-controlled turbo coding of non-uniform memoryless sources based on unequal energy allocation
International Symposium onInformation Theory, 2004. ISIT 2004. Proceedings., 2004A source-controlled turbo coding scheme for nonuniform binary memoryless sources sent over AWGN channels is designed. The use of nonbinary signaling allows performance improvements over previous schemes. The source and channel parameters can be estimated in the encoding and decoding processes.
