ABSTRACT In the hydrogen production routes from natural gas (methane), methane pyrolysis offers a cleaner option than the established steam methane reforming by producing CO2‐free hydrogen. However, in fixed bed reactors over solid catalysts, this technology experiences rapid catalyst deactivation due to carbon (coke) deposition encapsulating its ...

Ground-state energy and stability limit of small 3He drops
Small and stable drops of 3He atoms can only exist above a minimum number of particles, due to the combination of the 3He atom Fermi statistics and its light mass.

Defect engineering for highly efficient and stable perovskite top cells for Si tandems
Defect passivation in wide‐bandgap perovskites is essential for enabling high‐efficiency and stable perovskite/Si tandem solar cells. Bulk, surface, and buried‐interface passivation strategies focus on suppressing nonradiative recombination, ion migration, and halide segregation, thereby clarifying critical design principles for next‐generation tandem ...

Trial wave functions for High-Pressure Metallic Hydrogen
Many body trial wave functions are the key ingredient for accurate Quantum Monte Carlo estimates of total electronic energies in many electron systems. In the Coupled Electron-Ion Monte Carlo method, the accuracy of the trial function must be conjugated ...

A NiII‐acetylide framework, H2TFPP‐Ni‐AF, demonstrates outstanding photocatalytic CO2 reduction performance: 13.16 mmol h−1 g−1 of CO with 97.9% selectivity. Synergistic interactions, including d‐p orbital hybridization within NiII‐bis(acetylide) moieties ( − C ≡ C−NiII(PBu3)2 − C ≡ C − ) and the efficient charge transport afforded by π‐conjugated ...

Study of energy backflow in unidirectional monochromatic and space-time waves
Backflow, or retropropagation, is a counterintuitive phenomenon whereby for a forward-propagating wave the energy locally propagates backward. In the context of backflow, physically most interesting are the so-called unidirectional waves, which contain only forward propagating plane wave constituents.

Unusual low-temperature thermopower in the one-dimensional Hubbard model
The low-temperature thermoelectric power of the repulsive-interaction one-dimensional Hubbard model is calculated using an asymptotic Bethe ansatz for holons and spinons.

Investigating the Cytoskeleton of DRGs Using Cryo‐Electron Microscopy and Deep Learning
ABSTRACT We describe a method for determining the ultrastructural organization of axons and varicosities of cultured dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons using cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo‐EM). Cryo‐EM reveals the dimensions, proximity, and overall organization of biological specimens in a near‐native state, avoiding artifacts of fixation and ...
