Peripheral blood proteome biomarkers distinguish immunosuppressive features of cancer progression
Immune status significantly influences cancer progression. This study used plasma proteomics to analyze benign 67NR and malignant 4T1 breast tumor models at early and late tumor stages. Immune‐related proteins–osteopontin (Spp1), lactotransferrin (Ltf), calreticulin (Calr) and peroxiredoxin 2 (Prdx2)–were associated with systemic myeloid‐derived ...

D2D Multi-hop Energy Efficiency Toward EMS in B5G [PDF]
Beyond fifth generation (B5G), communication has attracted much attention from academia, industry, and mobile network operators due to network densification, ultra-low latency communication, and enhanced energy and spectrum efficiency. However, a post-disaster emergency management system (EMS), which increasingly relies heavily on wireless ...

Energy not used is arguably the best, cheapest and the least environmentally damaging source of supply and nowadays the concept of "negawatts" in energy strategies world wide is being introduced as a new, significant source of energy. However, energy efficiency being typically demand side option is hard to implement and requires carefully defined ...

Energy Efficiency and Rebound Effect: Does Energy Efficiency Save Energy?
The aim of this study is to examine the theoric and empirical literature about “rebound effect”. This study summarizes energy efficiency policy and programs in general and in Turkey. Also it gives defination of the “rebound effect” concept. The rebound effect is related to consumer’s tendency to consume more energy due to economic benefit from ...

TOMM20 increases cancer aggressiveness by maintaining a reduced state with increased NADH and NADPH levels, oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), and apoptosis resistance while reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels. Conversely, CRISPR‐Cas9 knockdown of TOMM20 alters these cancer‐aggressive traits.
