Concurrently Boosting Activity and Stability of Oxygen Reduction Reaction Catalysts via Judiciously Crafting Fe–Mn Dual Atoms for Fuel Cells

open access: yesNano-Micro Letters
Highlights Fe–Mn dual-atom catalysts exhibit superior oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity and stability, with high half-wave potentials in both alkaline and acidic conditions.

Tuning Ag Loading and Particle Size in Ag@g-C3N4 Photocatalysts for Selective CO2 Conversion to CO and CH4

open access: yesNanomaterials
Elucidating the mechanisms of CO2 photocatalytic conversion systems is crucial for tackling the challenges of carbon neutrality. In this study, a series of Ag@g-C3N4 photocatalysts were constructed with metal particle size modulation as the core strategy

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Concentrating PV/T Hybrid System for Simultaneous Electricity and Usable Heat Generation: A Review

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2012
Photovoltaic (PV) power generation is one of the attractive choices for efficient utilization of solar energy. Considering that the efficiency and cost of PV cells cannot be significantly improved in near future, a relatively cheap concentrator to ...

Particle production in DIS off a shockwave in AdS

open access: yes, 2010
Within the AdS/CFT correspondence, the shockwave metric has been widely used as a gravity dual for a fast moving nucleus. Here we propose a picture for particle production in deep inelastic scattering off a shockwave with the projectile represented by ...

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Directed and elliptic flow in heavy ion collisions from $E_{\rm beam}=90$ MeV/nucleon to $E_{\rm c.m.}=200$ GeV/nucleon

open access: yes, 2007
Recent data from the NA49 experiment on directed and elliptic flow for Pb+Pb reactions at CERN-SPS are compared to calculations with a hadron-string transport model, the Ultra-relativistic Quantum Molecular Dynamics (UrQMD) model.

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Dark energy domination in the Virgocentric flow

open access: yes, 2010
The standard \LambdaCDM cosmological model implies that all celestial bodies are embedded in a perfectly uniform dark energy background, represented by Einstein's cosmological constant, and experience its repulsive antigravity action.
