Causality between energy and output in the long-run [PDF]
Though there is a very large literature examining whether energy use Granger causes economic output or vice versa this literature is fairly inconclusive. Almost all existing studies use relatively short time series or panels with a relatively small time dimension. Additionally, many recent papers continue to use what seem to be misspecified models.

ASEAN RE-gender roadmap: roadmap on accelerating ASEAN renewable energy deployment through gender-responsive energy policy. [PDF]
The role of the energy-gender nexus in accelerating renewable energy deployment in ASEAN remains underexplored. Current gender disparities severely impede the enhancement of women's roles and opportunities in the renewable energy sector, and hinder women'

Coupled piezoelectric-circuit FEA to study influence of a resistive load on power output of piezoelectric energy devices [PDF]
This paper presents, for the first time, a coupled piezoelectric-circuit finite element model (CPC-FEM) to analyze the power output of vibration-based piezoelectric energy harvesting devices (EHDs) when connected to a resistive load.

Using net energy output as the base to develop renewable energy
In order to increase energy security, production of renewable energies has been highly promoted by governments around the world in recent years. The typical base of various policy instruments used for this purpose is gross energy output of renewable ...

CO2 Emissions, Energy Usage, and Output in Central America
This study extends the recent work of Ang (2007) [Ang, J.B., 2007. CO2 emissions, energy consumption, and output in France. Energy Policy 35, 4772–4778] in examining the causal relationship between carbon dioxide emissions, energy consumption, and output

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Tests and Simulation Research on the Output Energy of Microdetonators [PDF]
To make up for the deficiencies in the present method of measuring microdetonator output energy, this paper uses PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) piezoelectric films as sensors and designs a system to test the output pressure of microdetonators with a 2.5 mm diameter. The average measured output pressure was 9.87GPa.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Design and testing of piezoelectric energy harvesting devices for generation of higher electric power for wireless sensor networks [PDF]
This paper reports our design and testing results on the electric output performance of a vibration-based piezoelectric energy harvesting device (PEHD). The PEHD is a cantilever with a sandwich structure and seismic mass attached to the tip.
