The Storage of Electric Energy [PDF]
IAM continuing my experiments on the Faure accumulator with every-day increasing interest. I find M. Reynier's statement, that a Faure accumulator, weighing 75 kilograms (165 lbs.) can store and give out again energy to the extent of an hour's work of one-horse power (2,000,000 foot-pounds) amply confirmed.

Tumor microenvironment drives cancer formation and progression. We analyzed the role of human cancer‐associated adipocytes from patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC) stratified as lean, overweight, or obese. RNA‐seq demonstrated that, among the most altered genes involved in the tumor–stroma crosstalk, are ADAM12 and CYP1B1, which were proven to be ...

Architected Lattices with a Topological Transition
This article develops topological metamaterials showing multidirectional two‐step deformation under compression by embedding contact‐enabled topological mechanisms into lattice structures. Experiments on 3D‐printed 2D and 3D lattices and finite element simulations are conducted to demonstrate the working principle of the topological metamaterials.

Targeted metabolomics reveals novel diagnostic biomarkers for colorectal cancer
This study employed targeted metabolomic profiling to identify 302 distinct metabolites present in platelet‐rich plasma (PRP), revealing aberrant metabolic profiles amongst individuals diagnosed with colorectal cancer (CRC). Compared to carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and cancer antigen 19‐9 (CA199), our metabolite panel showed improved sensitivity ...

The full phase space dynamics of a magnetically levitated electromagnetic vibration harvester
We consider the motion of an electromagnetic vibrational energy harvester (EMVEH) as function of the initial position and velocity and show that this displays a classical chaotic dynamical behavior.

The model for non-Abelian field topology for the multilayer fractional quantum anomalous Hall device
From the recent empirical discovery of the quantum anomalous Hall effect (QAHE), the interaction of the particle with spin–orbit coupling (SOC) plays an essential role in the cause of the QAHE, which includes three terms: external, internal, and chiral ...
