ENERGY-OPTIMAL CONTROL IN TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1983
A task is to control one vehicle along a given track within the prescribed travel time. An optimal solution of this elementary control task can be found by several methods: experimentally, using Pontryagin's maximum principle, dynamical programming or numerical methods. An original control algorithm is presented in the paper.

Energy analysis and optimization of energy systems

Proceedings of the 24th Intersociety Energy Conversion Engineering Conference, 2003
Exergy analysis and exergy optimization are used to study industrial energy use. A methodology that is used on three different aggregation levels; national energy use, regional studies, and the process level, has been developed. The optimization is applied to a demand pattern of cold flows by offering to the system heat exchangers, cogeneration, and ...

Optimization of Hybrid Energy System

2018 International Conference on Intelligent Circuits and Systems (ICICS), 2018
The Proposed paper suggested about the step by step optimization of size component of Photovoltaic system/Wind turbine/biomass hybrid renewable energy system (HRES) with battery and converter system but without grid connection with the help of ABC (Artificial Bee Colony) algorithm MATLAB/SIMULINK software.

Integrated Energy System Optimization

2019
At the regulatory plan phase, based on in-depth analysis on the characteristics of the user-side’s energy demands, the energy system plan anticipates the future urban energy utilization pattern and gives guidance on the deployment and construction of energy infrastructure, which is meaningful for improving urban energy efficiency.

Local Optimization of Energy Systems

Advanced Energy Systems, 1996
Abstract Many thermal systems are very complex due to the number of components and/or its strong interdependence. This complexity makes difficult the optimization of the system design and operation. The Theory of Exergetic Cost is based on concepts such as resources, structure, efficiency and purpose (belonging to any theory of ...

Energy optimization for water systems

Journal AWWA, 2010
Ask utility managers what their biggest expense is after staffing, and they will reply without hesitation that it's energy. If energy costs could be reduced even a little, it would result in significant benefits for the utility. Using energy optimization techniques, utilities can reduce their operating costs, lower their greenhouse gas emissions, and ...

Optimization of Integrated Energy Systems

Journal of the Energy Division, 1981
Application of renewable and nonrenewable energy conversion technologies are forecast for medium and large industrial facilities. Data are obtained from an optimization model that determines the least, life-cycles cost energy supply system for an industrial facility.
