Numerical Model For Vibration Damping Resulting From the First Order Phase Transformations

open access: yes, 2007
A numerical model is constructed for modelling macroscale damping effects induced by the first order martensite phase transformations in a shape memory alloy rod.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Energy Root and Energy Transformation Stages

open access: yesJournal of Energy Research and Reviews, 2022
After allowing transformations of different forms of energy into other forms with the aid of devices and agents, all the associated information were observed severally. In which mean values for each were recorded. The paper is launching new resultant initiatives, namely energy root and energy transformation stages.

The unitary transformation of the path-integral measure [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The aim of the article is to show how a coordinate transformation can be applied to the path-integral formalism. For this purpose the unitary definition of the quantum measure, which guarantees the conservation of total probability, is offered.

Machine learning-enabled techno-economic uncertainty analysis of sustainable aviation fuel production pathways

open access: yesChemical Engineering Journal Advances
Stochastic techno-economic analysis (TEA) is pivotal in assessing the financial viability and risks inherent in biofuel production processes. In this method, the Monte Carlo approach entails the random sampling of input variables and multiple runs of the

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
