CLINICAL IMPRESSIONS OF ENFLURANE
Enflurane was used in 150 non-selected patients and was found to be a most satisfactory inhalation anaesthetic. Induction and recovery times were rapid and these characteristics, together with its rather pleasant smell, made it readily acceptable to the patient.

Summary Enflurane was substituted for halothane in an established technique of controlled hypotension, involving beta-blockade and sympathetic ganglion blockade, for 2 groups of patients. One group was undergoing major plastic surgery and/or major maxillo-facial surgery and these patients breathed spontaneously.
