We measure the cell‐specific responses of administering infusible ECM (iECM) in acute myocardial infarction (MI) across multiple timepoints. Using single‐nucleus RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, we measure macrophage activation, fibroblast remodeling, increased vascular development, lymphangiogenesis, cardioprotection, and neurogenesis ...

Effects of Uniaxial Cyclic Strain on Endothelial Progenitor Cells [PDF]
Despite the high prevalence of calcific aortic valve disease (CAVD), the underlying mechanisms of pathogenesis have not been found yet. Therefore, it is extremely important to study CAVD and understand how it develops.

Decellularized Extracellular Matrix (dECM) in Tendon Regeneration: A Comprehensive Review
Decellularized Extracellular Matrix (dECM) offers a promising solution by replicating the native tendon microenvironment and promoting regeneration. This review highlights advances in the decellularization methods, as well as their integration with emerging technologies and translational progress in tendon tissue engineering.

3D bioprinted aged human post‐infarct myocardium tissue model
Background and Aims Fibrotic tissue formed after myocardial infarction (MI) can be as detrimental as MI itself. However, current in vitro cardiac fibrosis models fail to recapitulate the complexities of post‐MI tissue.

Biomimetic Polymers for Cardiac Tissue Engineering
Heart failure is a morbid disorder characterized by progressive cardiomyocyte (CM) dysfunction and death. Interest in cell-based therapies is growing, but sustainability of injected CMs remains a challenge. To mitigate this, we developed an injectable biomimetic Reverse Thermal Gel (RTG) specifically engineered to support long-term CM survival.

Generation of bioartificial hearts using decellularized scaffolds and mixed cells
Background Patients with end-stage heart failure must receive treatment to recover cardiac function, and the current primary therapy, heart transplantation, is plagued by the limited supply of donor hearts.
