Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Monitoring the Wastewater Treatment Efficiency of Oxidation Ponds at Chokera, Faisalabad [PDF]
Treatment efficiency of the sewage stabilization ponds at Chokera, Faisalabad was carried out with respect to the parameters (i.e. BOD5 (Five Days Biochemical Oxygen Demand), COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), pH, Turbidity, TS (Total Solids), TDS (Total ...

A Short-Term Load Forecasting Model of LSTM Neural Network considering Demand Response
As one of the key technologies for accelerating the construction of the ubiquitous Internet of Things, demand response (DR) not only guides users to participate in power market operations but also increases the randomness of grid operations and the ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Covariance Structure Modeling of Engineering Demand Parameters in Cloud‐Based Seismic Analysis
ABSTRACT Probabilistic seismic demand modeling aims to estimate structural demand as a function of ground motion intensity—a critical stage in seismic risk assessment. Although many models exist to describe the structural demand, few consider the covariance among engineering demand parameters, potentially overlooking a key factor in ...

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...
