A Local Parameterization of the State‐Feedback Matrices in the Pole Assignment Problem
For any given controllable system (F$F$, G$G$) and any Jordan matrix A$A$, the geometry of the set of feedback gain matrices K$K$ such that the state matrix F$F$+G$G$K$K$ of the closed‐loop system is similar to A$A$ is studied. It is shown that it is a differentiable manifold and a local parametrization of this set is provided.
