Abstract Background The World Health Organization recommended enhanced adherence counselling (EAC) sessions among people with HIV on ART with persistent viremia (viral load > 1000 copies/ml). There have been variations on the impact of EAC on viral load suppression (VLS) and it is unclear whether completing three sessions as recommended by country’s ...

Implementation of Drug‐Induced Rhabdomyolysis and Acute Kidney Injury in Microphysiological System
A modular Muscle–Kidney proximal tubule‐on‐a‐chip integrates 3D skeletal muscle and renal proximal tubule tissues to model drug‐induced rhabdomyolysis and acute kidney injury. The coculture system enables dynamic tissue interaction, functional contraction monitoring, and quantification of nephrotoxicity, revealing drug side effect‐induced metabolic ...

A Collaborative Approach to Control Hypertension in Diabetes
We sought to develop and pilot an intervention to improve blood pressure (BP) and other intermediate outcomes (hemoglobin A 1c , low-density lipoprotein cholesterol) of diabetes in a low-income, ethnically diverse population. English- or Spanish-speaking

Multiscale Structuring of Hydroxyapatite via Two‐Photon Lithography of Nanocomposites
Hydroxyapatite scaffolds are of great interest in bone tissue engineering applications, ranging from 3D cell culture to regenerative medicine. Using two‐photon lithography of a transparent nanocomposite, hydroxyapatite microstructures with features ranging from submicron to centimeter‐scale are fabricated. This allows to mimic the natural bone geometry,

An All‐Optical Driven Bio‐Photovoltaic Interface for Active Control of Live Cells
Bio‐photovoltaic Interface (BIO‐PV‐I) for live cell manipulation is presented. BIO‐PV‐I can be activated non‐invasively and remotely to control the spatial motility, adhesion, and morphology of cells adhering to it. BIO‐PV‐I uses a patterned light‐induced electric potential in iron‐doped lithium niobate crystals whose light‐driven and reversible nature,

Abstract Background Maintaining long-term client adherence and viral suppression requires ongoing increased adherence counseling and follow-up care. Promoting enhanced adherence counseling (EAC) is advised for those whose viral load is greater than or equivalent to 1000 copies/ml. However, there is still a lack of knowledge in the study region

Topological van der Waals contacts represent a new class of electrodes for 2D semiconductors, enabling precise control of the Schottky barrier height (SBH) and contact resistance (RC) through interlayer distance and orbital hybridization engineering. In Se‐based transition metal dichalcogenides, these contacts achieve an ultralow SBH of 7 meV, RC of 0.
