Thermal Conductivity Enhancement of Coaxial Carbon@Boron Nitride Nanotube Arrays

open access: yes, 2017
We demonstrate the thermal conductivity enhancement of the vertically aligned carbon nanotube (CNT) arrays (from ?15.5 to 29.5 W/mK, ?90% increase) by encapsulating outer boron nitride nanotube (BNNT, 0.97 nm-thick with ?3-4 walls).

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

UV enhancement of silicon solar cells using thin SRO films

open access: yes, 2012
A study of comparison of the electrical and optical characteristics of silicon solar cells (SC) with a layer of silicon oxide (SiO₂) deposited by SILOX, and silicon solar cells covered with a silicon rich oxide (SRO) film obtained by LPCVD containing ...

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Building Materials Classification Model Based on Text Data Enhancement and Semantic Feature Extraction

open access: yes
In order to accurately extract and match carbon emission factors from the Chinese textual building materials list and construct a precise carbon emission factor database, it is crucial to accurately classify the textual building materials. In this study,

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.
