Stainless steel made to rust: a robust water-splitting catalyst with benchmark characteristics [PDF]
The oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is known as the efficiency-limiting step for the electrochemical cleavage of water mainly due to the large overpotentials commonly used materials on the anode side cause.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

The Interplay among PINK1/PARKIN/Dj-1 Network during Mitochondrial Quality Control in Cancer Biology: Protein Interaction Analysis [PDF]
PARKIN (E3 ubiquitin ligase PARK2), PINK1 (PTEN induced kinase 1) and DJ-1 (PARK7) are proteins involved in autosomal recessive parkinsonism, and carcinogenic processes.

Geometric and Mechanical Analysis of Selenium-Enriched Eggs
Geometric and mechanical analyses were performed on 82 selenium-rich eggs, which underwent hydrostatic testing as 2 raw eggs, 60 steamed eggs, and 20 emptied eggshells. By analyzing the geometric and mechanical properties of the egg, we can draw inspiration from its structural design to create a pressure shell capable of effectively withstanding the ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Phase behavior and development characteristics of shale condensate gas in confined space [PDF]
The exploration of Well-Fuye-10 in the Dongyuemiao section has provided valuable characteristic parameters of typical continental shale, revealing a reservoir with well-developed mesopores and macropores and significant heterogeneity.

Galactic and Cosmic Chemical Evolution with Hypernovae
We provide new nucleosynthesis yields depending on metallicity and energy (i.e., (normal supernovae and hypernovae), and show the evolution of heavy element abundances from C to Zn in the solar neighborhood.
