Enterobacter Meningitis and Challenges in Treatment
Neurosurgical interventions are rarely associated with meningitis with a very low incidence rate ranging from 1.1% to 2.5%. Gram negative bacillary meningitis first described in the 1940's, previously uncommon has been increasing in the recent past associated with advanced age, immunosuppression and neurosurgery.

Using a nationwide Japanese inpatient database, we evaluated whether broad‐spectrum antibiotic prophylaxis improves postoperative outcomes after pancreatoduodenectomy compared with narrow‐spectrum antibiotics. In propensity score–weighted analyses of 45 099 patients, broad‐spectrum prophylaxis was associated with significantly lower rates of intra ...

Chlorella vulgaris biorefineries: sustainable biofuels and high‐value carbon capture
Abstract Global reliance on fossil fuels has created urgent economic and environmental challenges, yet large‐scale use of algal biomass remains limited by production costs. Industrial scaling is constrained by inefficient harvesting and the technical challenges of processing recalcitrant cell walls.

Extended-Spectrum β-lactamase Production among Enterobacter cloacae and Enterobacter aerogenes at a Tertiary Care Center in Coastal Karnataka [PDF]
Introduction: Enterobacter spp. have been increasingly isolated as nosocomial pathogens. Multi-drug resistance is more frequently noted among these pathogens. Extended spectrum beta lactamases (ESBLs) are difficult to detect in Enterobacter spp.
