An efficient ribitol-specific dehydrogenase from Enterobacter aerogenes

Enzyme and Microbial Technology, 2015
An NAD(+)-dependent ribitol dehydrogenase from Enterobacter aerogenes KCTC 2190 (EaRDH) was cloned and successfully expressed in Escherichia coli. The complete 729-bp gene was amplified, cloned, expressed, and subsequently purified in an active soluble form using nickel affinity chromatography.

Kinetic models of biological hydrogen production by Enterobacter aerogenes

Biotechnology Letters, 2020
Dark fermentative hydrogen production from glucose by Enterobacter aerogenes was studied. The kinetic models of modified Gompertz and Logistic were employed to investigate the progress of hydrogen production. The predicted maximum hydrogen production (Hmax) by modified Gompertz and Logistic was 11.92 and 11.28 mL, respectively.

Emergence of IMP-4-Producing Enterobacter aerogenes Clinical Isolate

Clinical Laboratory, 2018
IMP-4 class B metallo-β-lactamase-producing Enterobacteriaceae are resistant to carbapenems. The aim of this study was to characterize of IMP-4 metallo-β-lactamase (MBL)-producing Enterobacter aerogenes clinical isolate.IMP-4 MBL-producing E. aerogenes clinical isolate was collected from a Korean Hospital in 2017.

Enterobacter aerogenes infection of Hoplochaetella suctoria

1983
Knowledge of the microbial pathogens of earthworms is very fragmentary. Though many internal and external parasites have been reported, information about the relationships between earthworms and their parasites is scanty. Gates (1972) gave a good account of different bacteria, ciliates, sporozoans, cestoda, nematoda and insects encountered in different

Bioengineering of the Enterobacter aerogenes strain for biohydrogen production

Bioresource Technology, 2011
Enterobacter aerogenes is one of the most widely-studied model strains for fermentative hydrogen production. To improve the hydrogen yield of E. aerogenes, the bioengineering on a biomolecular level and metabolic network level is of importance. In this review, the fermentative technology of E.

Single‐cell protein from methanol with Enterobacter aerogenes

Biotechnology and Bioengineering, 1987
AbstractAn identifiedEnterobacter aerogenesutilizing methanol as a sole carbon source was studied for the optimization of biomass production and the reduction of its nucleic acid content. Results indicated that the highest yield and conversion were obtained at 0.5% methanol.

Hydrogen production from biodiesel byproduct by immobilized Enterobacter aerogenes

Bioprocess and Biosystems Engineering, 2011
The recent rapid growth of the biodiesel industry has generated a significant amount of glycerol as a byproduct. As a result, the price of glycerol is currently relatively low, making it an attractive starting material for the production of chemicals with higher values.

[Resistance to imipenem in Enterobacter aerogenes].

Enfermedades infecciosas y microbiologia clinica, 1995
In June, 1993, an Enterobacter aerogenes strain was isolated in the Hospital de la Creu Roja from Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona), which was resistant against all beta-lactams, including imipenem. Since is unusual in Enterobacter sp. to isolate imipenem resistant strains, we decided to study its resistance mechanism. To study the E. aerogenes 174004/

Emergence of colistin resistance inEnterobacter aerogenesfrom Croatia

Journal of Chemotherapy, 2017
A colistin-resistant Enterobacter aerogenes [study code 12264] was isolated from the tracheal aspirate of a 71-year-old male patient in the General Hospital [GH] in Pula, Croatia. The patient was previously treated in University Hospital Centre in Rijeka with colistin in order to eradicate Acinetobacter baumannii isolate, susceptible only to colistin ...

Porin Deficiency in Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacter aerogenes Strains

Microbial Drug Resistance, 2018
Purpose: The more frequent reports of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae have raised the alarm for public health. Apart from the production of carbapenemases, deficiency (decreased or loss of expression) of outer membrane proteins (OMPs) has
