Enthalpies of sublimation of transition metal complexes

Journal of the Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions, 1984
Enthalpies of sublimation of a number of transition metal complexes have been determined by a differential Knudsen effusion technique in which the effusing vapour has been condensed on a quartz plate, the frequency of oscillation of which depends on the mass of complex deposited.

Aerosol Volatility and Enthalpy of Sublimation of Carboxylic Acids

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2010
The enthalpy of sublimation has been determined for nine carboxylic acids, two cyclic (pinonic and pinic acid) and seven straight-chain dicarboxylic acids (C(4) to C(10)). The enthalpy of sublimation was determined from volatility measurements of nano aerosol particles using a volatility tandem differential mobility analyzer (VTDMA) set-up. Compared to

Recommended sublimation pressure and enthalpy of benzene

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 2014
Abstract Recommended vapor pressures of solid benzene (CAS Registry Number: 71-43-2) which are consistent with thermodynamically related crystalline and ideal-gas heat capacities as well as with properties of the liquid phase at the triple point temperature (vapor pressure, enthalpy of vaporization) were established.

Estimating Enthalpies of Sublimation of Hydrocarbons

1992
A general technique for the estimation of sublimation enthalpies is described and applied to hydrocarbons. The vaporization enthalpy of a hydrocarbon is obtained by using a simple relationship based on the type and number of carbons present. Fusion enthalpies are estimated using a group additivity approach.

Enthalpy of combustion, vapour pressures, and enthalpy of sublimation of 3-nitrophenol

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 1992
Using a static-bomb combustion calorimeter, the standard ( p ° = 0.1 MPa) molar enthalpy of combustion at the temperature 298.15 K of 3-nitrophenol was determined: − Δ c H ° m (cr)/(kJ·mol −1 ) = 2870.0±1.5. The vapour pressure of the crystals was measured, as a function of the temperature T , by the Knudsen-effusion technique and the standard molar ...

Sublimation enthalpy of eleven alkyl derivatives of urea

Thermochimica Acta, 1990
Abstract Sublimation enthalpies of eleven alkyl dervatives of urea (monomethylurea, monoethyl-urea, monopropylurea, monoisopropylurea, monoisobutylurea, mono- t -butylurea, 1,1-dimethylurea, 1,3-dimethylurea, 1,3-diethylurea, 1,3-dibutylurea and 1,1,3-trimethylurea) were determined from second-law treatment of vapour pressures measured by the torsion-

Determination of the enthalpy of ammonia borane sublimation

Russian Journal of General Chemistry, 2014
BH3NH3(solid) = 1/n(BH2NH2)n(solid) + H2(gas). Decomposition of ammonia borane in a condensed phase was studied by differential scanning calorimetry [2–4] and thermogravimetry [5]. Publications on the study of ammonia borane behavior in gas phase are few in number. The structure of its molecule was determined by the rotation spectroscopy method [6, 7].

Enthalpy of sublimation of dibenzofuran: a redetermination

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2003
Molar enthalpies of sublimation and molar enthalpies of vaporization of dibenzofuran were obtained from the temperature dependence of the vapor pressure measured by the transpiration method. New results help to resolve the uncertainty in the available thermochemical data on dibenzofuran.

Enthalpies of combustion, vapour pressures, and enthalpies of sublimation of three methoxy-nitrobenzoic acids. Vapour pressures and enthalpies of sublimation of the three nitrobenzoic acids

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 1999
Abstract The standard ( p o  =  0.1 MPa) molar enthalpies of formation for crystalline 3-methoxy-2-nitro-, 4-methoxy-3-nitro-, and 3-methoxy-4-nitrobenzoic acid were derived from the standard molar enthalpies of combustion, in oxygen, at the temperature 298.15 K, measured by static bomb combustion calorimetry; the Knudsen mass-loss effusion ...

The standard enthalpy of sublimation of naphthalene

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 1972
Abstract The standard enthalpy of sublimation of naphthalene has been determined calorimetrically at 298.15 K. The value obtained, (73.00 ± 0.25) kJ mol−1 is in agreement with the accepted value derived from vapour pressure measurements.
