Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

A Framework for Physics-Informed Deep Learning Over Freeform Domains
Deep learning is a popular approach for approximating the solutions to partial differential equations (PDEs) over different material parameters and boundary conditions. However, no work has yet been reported on learning PDE solutions over changing shapes

ABSTRACT Real‐time insight into local chemistry is critical for reliable part quality in additive manufacturing, especially laser powder bed fusion (PBF‑LB/M), where rapid thermal cycles and localized evaporation can undermine part performance. Optical emission spectroscopy (OES) offers non‑intrusive, in situ plume monitoring, but detection geometry ...

On constraint preservation and strong hyperbolicity
We use partial differential equations (PDEs) to describe physical systems. In general, these equations include evolution and constraint equations. One method used to find solutions to these equations is the Free-evolution approach, which consists in ...

Data‐Efficient Electromagnetic Surrogate Solver Through Dissipative Relaxation Transfer Learning
Dissipative relaxation transfer learning (DIRTL) enables data‐efficient training of electromagnetic surrogate solvers by pretraining data generated with artificial material loss before fine‐tuning on target lossless data. The framework suppresses resonant outlier effects during early training, allowing effective adaptation to high‐amplitude resonances ...

A fully coupled FEM–HH model shows that ideally capacitive microelectrodes can achieve lower charge‐density thresholds than Faradaic contacts under current‐controlled stimulation. The advantage stems from the dynamics of surface current density on capacitive interfaces, which redirects current beneath adherent neurons.
