Gems From the Caves: Genomic Insights Into the Biosynthetic Potential of Antimicrobial‐Producing Bacteria Associated With Tropical Cave‐Dwelling Sponges

open access: yesEnvironmental Microbiology, Volume 28, Issue 1, January 2026.
Our study reveals that cave‐dwelling marine sponges host bacteria with antimicrobial activity against multidrug‐resistant strains. The bioactive Pseudomonadaceae strains exhibited biosynthetic clusters encoding both characterized and putative antimicrobial compounds and peptides. The findings highlight their potential for discovering novel biomolecules

Physicochemical interactions and viability of Cordyceps fumosorosea associated with adjuvants

open access: yesBioscience Journal
Adding adjuvants to crop protection sprays is common practice; however interactions among formulations must be better understood to prevent reducing efficacy, especially for those containing microorganisms for biological control.

Variation of Durum Wheat Rhizosphere Fungal Pathobiome From Conventional to Sustainable Agronomic Strategies Across Growth Stages

open access: yesPlant Pathology, Volume 75, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
Conservation tillage and compost fertilisation boost rhizosphere microbial diversity and beneficial fungi while reducing pathogenic species in durum wheat. These sustainable practices significantly influence the rhizosphere pathobiome, improving both soil and plant health.
