Intelligent recognition of collapsed coal and rock is a prerequisite for intelligent coal caving. Real-time and precise recognition of collapsed coal and rock can avoid the problem of 'under caving' or 'over caving' of top coal caused by manual coal ...

Neural Collapse with Cross-Entropy Loss
We consider the variational problem of cross-entropy loss with $n$ feature vectors on a unit hypersphere in $\mathbb{R}^d$. We prove that when $d \geq n - 1$, the global minimum is given by the simplex equiangular tight frame, which justifies the neural collapse behavior.

Elastin-like polypeptides (ELPs) are soluble in water at low temperature, but, on increasing the temperature, they undergo a reversible and cooperative, coil-to-globule collapse transition.

Stabilizing Transformer Training by Preventing Attention Entropy Collapse
Training stability is of great importance to Transformers. In this work, we investigate the training dynamics of Transformers by examining the evolution of the attention layers. In particular, we track the attention entropy for each attention head during the course of training, which is a proxy for model sharpness.

Characterizing the spontaneous collapse of a wavefunction through entropy production
We investigate the phenomenology leading to the non-conservation of energy of the continuous spontaneous localization (CSL) model from the viewpoint of non-equilibrium thermodynamics, and use such framework to assess the equilibration process entailed by

Mechanism and Sensitivity Analysis of Collapse in Large Section Mountain Neighborhood Tunnels
Collapse is one of the most frequent geological disasters in mountain tunnel engineering, posing major safety concerns for underground structures and construction crews. According to a catastrophic collapse in the shallow buried area of the Huangjiakuang

Growth of perturbations in Tsallis and Barrow cosmology
We report the effects of entropic corrections to the Friedmann equations on the growth of perturbations in the early stages of the universe. We consider two types of corrections to the area law of entropy, known as Tsallis and Barrow entropy. Using these

LREE of an unstable dressed-dynamical Dp-brane: superstring calculations
We obtain the left-right entanglement entropy (LREE) for a Dp-brane with tangential motion in the presence of a U(1) gauge potential, the Kalb–Ramond field and an open string tachyon field. Thus, at first we extract the Rényi entropy and then by taking a
