This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

We study the viscous nanofluid flow over a non-isothermal wedge with thermal radiation. The entropy due to irreversible processes in the system may degrade the performance of the thermodynamic system. Studying entropy generation in the flow over a porous

Entropy Generation Minimization for Energy-Efficient Desalination [PDF]
Desalination systems can be conceptualized as power cycles, in which the useful work output is the work of separation of fresh water from saline water. In this framing, thermodynamic analysis provides powerful tools for raising energy efficiency.

Physical generalizations of the Rényi entropy [PDF]
We present a new type of generalization of the Rényi entropy that follows naturally from its representation as a thermodynamic quantity. We apply it to the case of [Formula: see text]-dimensional conformal field theories (CFTs) reduced on a region bounded by a sphere. It is known how to compute their Rényi entropy as an integral of the thermal entropy

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

Second law analysis for couple stress fluid flow through a porous medium with constant heat flux [PDF]
Journal article published in the Journal of Entropy 2017, 19, 498In the present work, entropy generation in the flow and heat transfer of couple stress fluid through an infinite inclined channel embedded in a saturated porous medium is presented. Due to the
