Analysis of networks using generalized mutual entropies [PDF]
Abstract Generalized mutual entropy is defined for networks and applied in the analysis of complex network structures. The method is tested for the case of computer simulated scale-free networks, random networks, and their mixtures. The possible applications for real network analysis are discussed.

Analysis of NO Formation and Entropy Generation in a Reactive Flow
A comprehensive investigation of turbulent combustion is accomplished to study the relationship between nitrogen oxide (NO) formation and entropy generation distribution in a non-premixed propane combustion. The radiation heat transfer and combustion are simulated, employing the discrete ordinates model and laminar flamelet model, respectively.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Entropy generation during fluid flow in sharp edge wavy channels with horizontal pitch
In this study, the volumetric entropy generation rate is analyzed in sharp edge wavy channels. A two-dimensional steadily developing fluid flow is considered. Air is considered as the working fluid in the numerical analysis.
